So you are in St. Louis and you fancy a game of bowling? The first in downtown near the baseball stadium for the International Bowling Museum. This three-storey 50,000 sq ft building also houses the hotel Saint-Louis Cardinal of Fame. Here, you can drive a few balls establishing a restored 1930 Lane and see the collection of Mettlach steins and watch 1950s bowling shirts. Ten Pin Alley features life-size dioramas, interactive bowling of all things back to the ancient Egyptians. Hey, they had beer, so it was quite natural to have bowling, eh?You'll see that bowling balls have even been used as weapons in ancient times. All you had to do was knock-out 300 opponents and score a perfect game. Stop by the store and starting the collection of spare pins (coins bowling?) At the sale, or perhaps take one of these cool shirts to impress your friends at home. Or you can buy a hat, a ball or a book on bowling. The museum is open 11-4 Oct.-March and 9-5 during the summer. Admission is $ 7.50.

Tip: You may want to wait, if the Cardinals had a game scheduled, the crowds can be pretty hairy, that is unless you want to make a day of it.Check the bowling museum, the Museum of the Cardinal and then watch one of the greatest teams involved history.

Pin-Up Bowl is in 6191 District Delmar Loop just west of St. Louis. It is the result of Joe Edwards, owner of the nightclub Blueberry Hill, which is right down the street. Joe was almost single-handedly responsible for revitalizing the once degraded area of St. Louis. Pin-Up Bowl motto is "upscale bowling, Martini and Munchies.
