He has also done more than anyone to short-hen the Scot who invented the model.Bryant played the "other side" to NFL Hall of Fame, a Fellow of Arkansas and longtime friend, Don Hutson on the national team in Alabama in 1934-championship and was second team All SEC this year. After graduating in 1936, Bryant began his coaching career that eventually led to Alabama in 1958. "Bear" Bryant said about his return to Alabama "Momma called. And when Momma calls, you just Come Runnin '."

I always liked the look, bold plaid Sportcoat, probably because very little concern over, and nobody has more flair then Bryant. I used to enjoy tuning Keith Jackson calling a game in Alabama and seeing "Bear" Bryant, rolled up game plan in hand, leaning against the goalpost when the teams went through their pre-match heating, resplendent in her hat, houndstooth and plaid coat epic sport, usually with a coordinating sweater vest to start.There is something reassuring ritual and tradition, and I suspect it is the most faithful Tide feel they were destined to win on several Saturday afternoon when they saw "Bear" Bryant with his uniform brand on. I know when the line of Crimson Tide in a few days in the Rose Bowl for the championship game of the National, there will be many 'Bama fans sporting houndstooth for luck. I hope that some will make every effort with the houndstooth hat, checkered Sportcoat fat, tie, jacket and sweater. My respect for Nick Saban would go through the roof, where he led the title game dressed as the Bear.We talk about tradition and heritage, Alabama, after all, and the legacy Bear Bryant was the best ever....
