If you have not been able to tell from my posts, I want to be a reflection. Since I was a kid, I loved the history of baseball and loved to look back on how the teams have evolved over the years. Perhaps the holidays, perhaps having too much time on my hands, it could be anything, but I'm in a state of mind reflected in the last two weeks and I always come back to the shelves. And strange as it may sound, it was the Halladay-Lee swap that started my mind in this way.

As most of you probably know, last year the Mariners changed CEOs. Bill Bavasi was their GM since 2003, but under his watch, the Mariners Toteda payroll huge and still managed to finish in last place every year except one. Although there are CEOs who have fled with disguises much greater, and have retained their jobs, Bavasi made some bad blows royally during his tenure, including: trading Rafael Soriano Horacio Ramirez trade the farm for Erik Bedard, Carlos Silva signed a 4 year / $ 48 million contract, and a host of other misdeeds.For a complete list, see his wikipedia page, it's pretty hilarious.

Last season, excluding, however, the Mariners have a new direction and hired Jack Zduriencik, and watching the reaction of the fans of Seattle (especially on sites like Lookout Landing) has been very fun to watch unfold. At first, nobody knew what to expect. Zduriencik had a good record with the Brewers and there were rumors he was big on statistics of escalation, but after dealing with Bavasi for so long, fans were naturally skeptical at first.This is a horrible metaphor, but Jack is the new girl on the block, and the last girl to come around had left a very bad taste in the mouths of fans in Seattle. Change is good, but what Jack has to offer? Could it be another heart break?

Well, during a season, Zduriencik has transformed the last-place Mariners in the favorites for the AL West. It takes players to a rate lower than market retains some rumors of escape, defense of values and a progressive analysis and overall it is a clever, Director General of the ruse.Changing the direction of the franchise has been monumental, and the Seattle fans are singing the praises Zduriencik's....
