FSU finished with a 9-7 conference, and despite a victory over # 1-ranked Duke signature at the end of the conference season, could not tease dance bid, the selection committee come Selection Sunday.

A10 coaches have no illusions that the reputation of the conference (so good for non-BCS conferences) will conduct a bubble team in the field of 65. While few subscribe to the former head coach John Chaney Temple "Anyone, anywhere" philosophy, everyone knows the virtue of playing tournaments on invitation and a healthy dose of games on the road on the CV. Most of their curriculum vitae OOC-May building sets come from traditional rivalries and Field Invitational, but the road games, at worst, help their teams to prepare for hostile crowds they will face when Reading opponents of the conference.
